Please join us on Monday, June 9th for an important update by Nicole Pedersen – HCDP Executive Director, on plans for the 2025-2026 Cycle.
Nicole Pedersen is the Executive Director of the Harris County Democratic Party. She was promoted to that position following the 2024 election. Prior to that, she held the position of Voter Protection Director. She began working with HCDP’s Voter Protection program in 2018. In 2019, she served as the Voter Protection Director for Mayor Turner’s re-election campaign and then returned to HCDP. Under her leadership, the Voter Protection program has grown to become the most robust countywide partisan voter protection program in Texas, encompassing the poll watcher program, lawyer’s boileroom, voter hotline, and election worker supplemental training program. She received her law degree from the University of Chicago. She began her career as a corporate litigator in New York City, but has spent the majority of her decades in law helping people and companies understand and comply with various regulatory regimes. When not working at HCDP, Ms. Pedersen runs an international trade compliance law practice.
